Fish Farming Alternatives

Despite the vastness of the ocean and the abundance of marine life, we have to realize that if we keep on exploiting the resources the way we are doing currently and have been doing in the past, an end is bound to come-as Adri Bout who has trawled Dutch water for 25 years claims, “If you keep fishing like this, the North Sea will be empty”

Now he has joined the aquaculture business and has been raising 100 tons of turbot per year in a unique high rise tank and has successfully managed to deal with the common problems of fish farming.  When he recently started out he had little knowledge about fish farming and had to face some problems like disease epidemics among the fish and he turned to neighbors and friends for advice.  Then he started looking out for answers in books and he tried to tackle the problem by disposing of the fish waste in surrounding water.  He finally realized that he spent a fortune investing in pumps and doing everything by the books, but the books were wrong!
